Callioplana marginata
A marine animal of the phylum Platyhelminthes, class Turbellaria, order Polyclad, family Nicestillidae. Its body is oval, 3 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, with wavy edges. Its dorsal surface is black and velvety, with two stripes running along the edge. It has a pair of cone-shaped antennae about one-fifth of the front of its body, the tips of which are orange. It also has many ocelli lined up at the base of the antennae and above the brain. It lives under stones on the coasts of various places south of central Honshu.

扁形動物門渦虫綱多岐腸目ニセスチロヒラムシ科の海産動物。体は長さ 3cm,幅 1.5cmの卵円形で,体の縁は波打っている。背面は黒色,ビロード様で,縁に沿って2本の線帯が走る。体の前方5分の1ほどのところに1対の円錐形の触角があり,その先端は橙色になる。また,触角の基部と脳の上に多くの単眼が並んでいる。本州中部以南各地の海岸の石の下にすむ。
