...The founder, Bayram Khwāja, gained independence from the Mongolian Jarayrid dynasty in the 14th century and consolidated his power mainly in eastern Anatolia and the Mosul region. In the early 15th century, the third ruler, Qara Yusuf, had his country temporarily occupied by Timur, who had invaded Western Asia, but after Timur returned to Central Asia, he regained his power and extended his territory to Iraq and Iran, threatening the Timurid dynasty. The Kara-Koyunlu dynasty reached its height under the reign of Qara Yusuf's son, Jahan Shah (reigned 1439-67), but in 1467 Jahan Shah was defeated in eastern Anatolia by the army of Uzun Hasan, also of the Turkmen Ak-Koyunlu dynasty, and his territory was directly handed over to the control of the Ak-Koyunlu dynasty. ...

…始祖バイラム･ホージャBayram Khwājaは14世紀の70年代モンゴル系のジャラーイル朝から独立し，東部アナトリア，モースル地方を中心に勢力を固めた。15世紀初頭第3代カラ･ユースフQara Yūsufは，西アジアに遠征したティムールに対抗して国土を一時占領されたが，ティムールの中央アジア帰還後，勢力を回復してその領土はイラク，イランに及び，ティムール朝を脅かした。カラ･ユースフの子ジャハーン･シャーJahān Shāh(在位1439‐67)の治世のときカラ･コユンル朝はその最盛期を迎えたが，1467年ジャハーン･シャーは東部アナトリアで同じくトルクメン系のアク･コユンル朝のウズン･ハサンの軍に敗れ，その支配領域はそのままアク･コユンル朝の支配下に移った。…
