...A cold-resistant perennial plant of the Asteraceae family native to North America. The name "Yozendaisy" officially refers to this species, but it is generally treated as a general term for the closely related horticultural varieties A. novae - angliae L. (English name New England aster), A. amellus L. (English name Italian aster), A. dumosus L., and other horticultural varieties. The perennial variety known in Japan as "Shinonomegiku" also belongs to this group.
