…釈智匠の《古今楽録》に収める《木蘭詩(辞)》がこの物語を記す最も古い文献だとされ，元来，南北朝期の北方の民間民謡に由来するとされる。木蘭従軍の故事は後代，詩歌の題材となるほか，現在の京劇など伝統戯曲においても《花木蘭》(花（か）が木蘭の姓)の題で演じられている。なおそこでは元帥の賀廷玉が木蘭をぜひとも自分のむすめの婿にと願ったことから，木蘭が女性であることが知れるという筋書となっている。…
