...King Airlangga went into seclusion again four years before his death (1049), and the kingdom was divided between two princes. One was called Janggala and the other Panjalu (also called Kediri). The former gradually declined, and the latter, King Kamesvara I (reigned 1115-30), reunited the two again, exerting influence not only in Java but also in Bali, southwestern Borneo, Timor, southern Sulawesi, Ternate, and other places, and the dynasty continued until it was destroyed by Keng Anglok in 1222.
