Gum syrup (English spelling)

A liquid sweetener made from sugar liquid and gum arabic. Gum arabic is added to keep the sugar stable in liquid form and prevent it from recrystallizing. It is used in cold drinks where sugar does not dissolve easily, such as iced coffee, iced tea, and cocktails.
