Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of China

Japanese: 駐蔵大臣 - ちゅうぞうだいじん(英語表記)zhu-cang da-chen; chu-tsang ta-ch`ên
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of China
During the Qing Dynasty in China, ministers were sent to Tibet to oversee politics, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tibet and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. After the Qing Dynasty put down the Tibetan civil unrest in 1727, it placed Tibet under a protectorate status, but its internal affairs were strongly autonomous, with the Dalai Lama at the center. However, diplomatic rights, trade rights, and military powers under the special orders of the emperor were in the hands of the two Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tibet stationed in Lhasa, who also oversaw other internal affairs, and the Qing Dynasty maintained its position as the suzerain of Tibet. Although the ministers reported directly to the emperor, their affairs were subordinate to the Lifanyuan.
