...The garden from the sacred window to the offering fence is the site of rituals such as the bear festival. The sacred window (kamuy puyar) is an entrance for hunting prey, gods, and ritual implements, and is thought to be a relic of the entrance hall from the cave dwelling era. Leaving the Hishiriza, one enters the earthen floor of the barn through the inner door, and an entrance for people opens to the south of this.
