Cocoon drying

Dried live cocoons. Live cocoons can only be stored for 5 days after the pupa emerges, or 2-3 weeks after killing the pupa, but dried cocoons can last for about a year. They are dried using a cocoon dryer, which can be done using air heat, hot air, or low-temperature air. 生繭を乾燥させたもの。生繭の場合は蛹が羽化するので5日，殺蛹しても2～3週間程度しか保存できないが，乾繭にすると約1年程度は可能。乾繭機によって乾燥させるが，その方法には，気熱式，熱風式，低温風力式などがある。
