Kamadoyama Temple

...In 1618 (Genwa 4), Kuroda Nagamasa, and in 1696 (Genroku 9), Kuroda Tsunamasa each donated 25 koku. Jinguji Temple is said to have been founded by Shinren during the reign of Emperor Tenmu, and was known as Kamadoyama-dera, Oyama-dera, and Uchiyama-dera, and belonged to the Tendai sect. It is said to have 370 monks' temples, and in the Middle Ages it became a sacred place of asceticism when it was connected to Mount Hiko (Mount Hiko), and was the residence of the Shoni clan. It was later destroyed by Otomo Sorin, but 25 temples were restored by the Kuroda clan. ...
