Also known as liver fluke. A flatworm 10-25mm long belonging to the trematode family. A willow-leaf-shaped parasite found in Southeast Asia, with endemic areas in Japan including low-lying, humid lakes and marshes. The first intermediate host is the bean snail, and the second intermediate host is freshwater fish such as carp, crucian carp, and minnow. If eaten raw, it will parasitize the bile ducts in the human liver. In severe cases, it can cause liver damage. Praziquantel is used to deworm.

肝臓ジストマとも。長さ10〜25mm，吸虫類に属する扁形動物。柳葉形の寄生虫で東南アジアに分布し，日本でも低湿な湖沼地などに流行地がある。マメタニシが第１中間宿主，コイ，フナ，モツゴなどの淡水魚が第２中間宿主で，これを生で食べると人の肝臓内の細胆管に寄生する。重症になると肝臓障害を起こす。駆虫にはプラジカンテルを用いる。
