Kentrosaurus

...In South Africa, research began with Algoasaurus (R. Broom, 1904), discovered in the Early Cretaceous strata near the coast, followed by the Triassic dinosaurs of the Karoo Basin and the Jurassic dinosaurs of Tendaguru in Tanzania. Excavations at Tendaguru took place over four years from 1909 to 1912, unearthing dinosaurs weighing a total of 250 tons, including Brachiosaurus and Kentrosaurus . This was followed by another excavation by a British team in 1924.
