...The vine is very strong, so it is used to make furniture such as chairs and baskets, and in the past, the fibers were extracted and used for textiles and ropes. Yamafuji ( Wisteria brachybotrys ) resembles Fuji but is a different species, also known as Kapitan Fuji. It grows wild in the mountains of western Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu.
