roller shade

...A fixture or fitting for shading, controlling light, or concealing an opening in a building. Traditional fixtures include reed blinds, bamboo blinds, light screens, lattices, yoroi-do (Japanese shutters), and Venetian blinds. In more recent times, various new types have been invented, such as roller shades that are rolled up using a spring, and Venetian blinds sandwiched between double-pane glass. Sunshades that are permanently built into the main body of a building, rather than removable or movable, are called brise-soleils (named after the architect Le Corbusier).
