〘Noun〙 A Buddhist term. A multitude of bodhisattvas, shravakas, and pratyekabuddhas. Also, saints such as Amida Buddha and bodhisattvas in the Pure Land. Holy Lord. ※Ojoyoshu (984-985) Daibun 2 "Sometimes I see saints like an endless sand dune , and countless lands of Buddha come up ." ※Konjaku (around 1120) 3 "He brought with him countless bodhisattvas and saints."
