...The emergence of playwrights such as Kawaguchi Ichiro (1900-71), Tanaka Chikao (1905-95), Koyama Yushi (1906-82), Uchimura Naoya (1909-89), and Morimoto Kaoru who depicted the joys and sorrows of everyday life through dynamic psychological dialogue. Around the same time (1931-36), the Théâtre Comédie, run by the husband-wife duo Kanesugi Atsuro and Nagaoka Teruko, also staged modern French psychological dramas, giving birth to playwrights such as Iizawa Tadashi (1909-94). The Tsukijiza was dissolved in February 1936, but it became the basis for the founding of the Bungakuza in September 1937. ...
