Fixed-rate rent was the most common form of rent, but fixed-rate rents (shared rents) were also implemented in parallel in various areas, and in some prefectures the proportion of fixed-rate rents exceeded 20-30%. There were also cases where the rent collection rate was determined based on the amount of production that year (katsuso). Through these, the production volume (2 koku of brown rice) of 1 mu (6 tan 7 mu in Japan) was increased by 1000 yen.
