Canudo (1879-1923), who began writing about film in 1908, became one of the promoters of the new art movement in Paris, calling himself a film critic (in fact, he became the world's first film critic and film theorist, and his collection of essays, "The Factory of Images," was published posthumously in 1927), and defined film as a new art that connects the arts of time (music, poetry, dance) with the arts of space (architecture, sculpture, painting), that is, the "seventh art." Also, in 1916, Italian literary scholar F.
