Peerage Girls' School

Japanese: 華族女学校 - かぞくじょがっこう
Peerage Girls' School
This school was established in 1885 by order of the Empress for the purpose of educating the children of the nobility. Along with Gakushuin, it was under the jurisdiction of the Minister of the Imperial Household. In 1896, it was merged with Gakushuin to form the women's department.

明治一八年(一八八五)、皇后の命により華族の子女を教育する目的で設けられた学校。当時の学習院とともに宮内大臣の所管に属した。同三九年、学習院に女子部として併合された。
