Somatic sensation

Japanese: 体感症 - たいかんしょう

A pathological condition in which bodily sensations are disturbed, also known as cénesthopathie in French. These range from mild bodily sensation abnormalities to hallucinations such as "my brain has rotted and melted," "my intestines are twisted," and "someone molesting my genitals." Most of these sensations are strange and cannot be relived. These bodily sensation abnormalities appear in depression, brain atrophy, and especially schizophrenia. Clinically, there are known cases in which a strange bodily sensation abnormality develops chronically as a single symptom, and it is considered to be a single disease entity (proposed by E. Dupré and P. Camus).

体感の障害された病態で，フランス語でセネストパティーcénesthopathieともいわれる。軽度の体感異常から，〈脳がくさって溶けてしまった〉〈腸がねじれている〉〈性器にいたずらされる〉など，幻覚のようなものまである。多くは奇妙で追体験できない感覚である。このような体感異常は鬱（うつ）病，脳萎縮，とりわけ精神分裂病に出現する。また臨床上，奇妙な体感異常を単一症状として慢性に経過するものが知られており，一つの疾患単位とみなされている(デュプレE.DupréとカミュP.Camusによって提唱された)。
