Age by Counting

A method of counting age. The time of birth is considered "1 year old," and one year is added each time January 1st occurs thereafter. This "counted age" method is used in Ziwei Doushu and other divination systems. For example, if you are born on November 25th, you are 1 year old at birth, and 2 years old on January 1st of the following month. Also, if you are born on January 1st, you will turn 2 on January 1st of the following year. Source : Academy of Divination School About the Divination Glossary |

年齢の数え方。生まれた時点を「1歳」として、以降1月1日を迎えるたびに1歳加えるという方法。紫微斗数などでは、この「数え年」を使う。例として、11月25日に生まれた場合、出生時を1歳、翌々月の1月1日の時点で2歳となる。また、1月1日に生まれた場合は、2歳になるのが翌年の1月1日となる。
