…Also written as Kasuya or Kasuya. A medieval samurai family whose main territory was Kasuya Manor in Sagami Province. According to the family tree in the Zoku Gunsho Ruiju, it is said that Motokata, the son of Fujiwara no Yoshikata, who came down to Sagami Province as the "Province of Sagami Province," was born in Kasuya Manor and took the name Kasuya Taro, but the truth of this is unclear.
