A town in Mie County in the northern part of Mie Prefecture, facing Ise Bay between Kuwana City and Yokkaichi City. It is part of the Ise Bay coastal industrial area, and is home to industries such as food, textiles, and machinery and equipment. The Kintetsu Nagoya Line runs through the town. Area: 8.73 km2 .
