Taro Kasai

Another name for Nakataya, a restaurant teahouse located in Mukojima, Sumida Ward, Tokyo. Known for its river fish dishes such as carp soup and loach soup, it was visited by many literati in the latter half of the Edo period. *Sharebon Kingen Daifukucho (1755) 3 "I hope that even Kasai Taro will come and see us in the middle of summer."
