Ibn al‐Khaṭīb

He was a vizier (vizier) of the Nasrid dynasty, historian, and poet. He was born near Granada and studied in Granada. He served under Yusuf I as a scribe, and then became vizier in 1349. He continued to hold that position under his successor, Muhammad V, but was imprisoned when the king was deposed (1358/59). After his release, he traveled to Morocco with the king. When the king was restored to the throne in 62, he resumed his position as vizier, but upon sensing a conspiracy within the court, he fled to Morocco (1371/72). However, he was summoned to Granada shortly after the king's death, where he died in prison.

ナスル朝の宰相(ワジール)であり，歴史家，詩人。グラナダの近郊で生まれ，グラナダで学ぶ。ユースフ1世に仕え，書記官の後1349年宰相位につき，次のムハンマド5世のもとでも宰相位にあったが，王の廃位とともに彼も投獄される(1358∥59)。解放後，王といっしょにモロッコに渡る。62年王の復位とともに，宰相位に復したが，宮廷内の陰謀を察知，モロッコへ逃れる(1371∥72)。しかし，王の死後まもなくグラナダに召喚され，獄死した。
