…the Justinian Code is a collective term for the Compendium of Jurisprudence, the Compendium of the Laws, the Compendium of the Laws, and the New Laws, all of which were compiled and issued by Justinian I of the Byzantine Empire (reigned 527-565). It is a compilation of Roman law and legal theory. In response to the demand for legal education and judicial practice against the backdrop of the revival of jurisprudence in the Byzantine Empire, and in accordance with Justinian I's own political and cultural plan to restore the glory of the Roman Empire, in 528 he ordered a committee of ten people, consisting of senior officials (including Tribonianus) and some legal scholars, to compile the Laws, which were completed and issued the following year. *Some of the terminology explanations that refer to "Gakkyu Teitei" are listed below.
