Que-chang; Ch`üeh-ch`ang

Japanese: 榷場 - かくじょう（英語表記）Que-chang; Ch`üeh-ch`ang

An office located on the border in the Song dynasty of China to manage trade with the northern and western tribes. Also called the Yanmu or Yanshi. It was first established in the 2nd year of the Taiping Xingguo era (977) to trade with the Khitan, and in the 4th year of the Jingde era (1007) it was established between the Khitan and the Western Xia, and in the 12th year of the Shaoxing era (1142) it was established on the border with the Jin dynasty. Trade goods brought at the Yanmu office included copper coins, tea, silk, incense, lacquerware, and pottery from the Song dynasty, horses, sheep, pearls, and dung from the Khitan and Jin dynasties, and sheep, horses, cattle, and jade from the Western Xia.

中国，宋代に北・西方の外民族との貿易を管理するため国境におかれた官庁。榷務，榷署とも呼ばれる。太平興国2 (977) 年，契丹との交易のため設けられたのに始り，景徳4 (1007) 年西夏との間におかれ，紹興 12 (1142) 年に金との境に設置された。榷場での貿易品は宋から銅銭，茶，絹，香薬，漆器，陶器など，契丹，金からは馬，羊，北珠，貂皮など，西夏からも羊，馬，牛，玉などがもたらされた。
