...In the narrow sense, it is the main medium for the presentation of scientific research results, usually a periodical published in type, with a publishing body such as an academic society, and to which contributions are subscribed by members of the society (scientific periodical or scientific journal). In the broad sense, it includes commercial magazines that mainly feature scientific articles.
