Eishouki - Eishouki

Japanese: 永昌記 - えいしょうき
Eishouki - Eishouki
The diary of Councillor and Left Minister Fujiwara Tametaka. 10 volumes. The title is sometimes called "Tametaka-kyo-ki" (Diary of Tametaka), derived from Eisho-bo, another name for Shijo-bomon, where Tametaka lived, and sometimes called "Saiki" (Diary of the Chief Minister) after his highest-ranking Councillor and Chinese name, Saisho. It is a daily record from 1105 (Choji 2) to 1129 (Taichi 4), and although some other fragments have been preserved, many parts are missing. The contents are centered on events at the Imperial Court, and there are many original articles that supplement the contents of the contemporary "Chuu-u-ki" and "Choshu-ki". Six volumes of old manuscripts from the late Heian period are in the Kanshuji family library.
