Ontosai Festival

...In addition, the Kamisha Shrine holds a rice field ritual on January 15th to pray for a good harvest, and the Shimosha Shrine holds a rice porridge ritual on the same day to predict the harvest of the year. At the Ontosai festival held after the Kamisha Shrine's regular festival on April 15th, a portable shrine is carried from the main shrine to the front shrine, and in the old days, 75 deer heads were offered and horse archery was performed. The Shimosha Shrine holds an Ofunematsuri on August 1st to move the spirit of the deity that was transferred from the Akimiya Shrine to the Harumiya Shrine on February 1st back to the Akimiya Shrine, after which the regular festival is held.
