She was the wife of Kaemon Orimoto (pen name Sunaaki), a village headman in Futtsu village, Shuhuai county, Kazusa (Chiba prefecture). Along with her husband, she was associated with Ryota Oshima, Issa Kobayashi, and others. After her death, "Hanakyo Iko" was published. She died on April 3, 1812. Her given name was Sono.
