At the command of Matsudaira Sadanobu, a key figure in the shogunate who was concerned with calendar reform, he translated Oranda Eien Calendar Wake (Holland Perpetual Calendar Reconciliation) and Astrology Original Sun Theory Understanding New Heaven and Earth Two Spheres Usage Notes (Horoscope 1912-1920), the latter of which he wrote the year before his death, and 20 years after the first introduction of the heliocentric theory, he finally introduced the complete Copernican theory. …
