Osuzu Mountains - Osuzusanchi

The Osuzu Mountains, which are centered around this mountain, are made up of quartz porphyry that erupted from the Shimanto Formation of the Mesozoic era, and the coast of Hyuga City is unusual in that the rocks have columnar joints. The large colonies of rhododendrons that grow wild along the ridge and the Osuzu winter orchids that bloom from autumn to early winter are famous.
