...The former was adopted as part of the salt monopoly system in the early modern Kaga domain, where the domain would have a foundryman in Nakai (now Anamizu Town, Ishikawa Prefecture) cast salt pans at the domain's expense and then lend them to the saltmen. These salt pans were called "Oshiiregama" (purchasing pans), and the domain would own them for the first six years, after which the foundryman would own them and lend them to the saltmen for another seven years, at which point they would be sold to the saltmen at the end of the thirteen-year period. This principle continued until the end of the domain's rule, but there was also a system in which foundries would cast salt pans at their own expense and lend them directly to the saltmen, on the condition that they would be repaired in case of damage, and this continued until the Meiji period.

…前者は近世加賀藩において塩の専売制の一環としてとられたもので，能登塩の製造にあたり藩費をもって中居(現，石川県穴水町)の鋳物師に塩釜を鋳造させ，これを塩士に貸与する制度であった。この塩釜は御仕入釜と呼ばれ，藩が最初の6ヵ年，その後鋳物師が7ヵ年釜を所有して塩士に貸し付け，13年満期で塩士に払い下げられるものであった。この原則は藩政末まで行われたが，このほか鋳物師が自らの費用で塩釜を鋳造し，破損の場合の修繕を前提に塩士に直接貸し付ける方法もあり，明治時代まで続いた。…
