Yifan - Yifan

...The Lord of the Land is the guardian deity of each village. The most important ritual for the Moulao people is the Yifan, which is held once every three years to pray for the protection of people and livestock and for a good harvest. At this time, pigs and sheep are sacrificed, prayers are recited, and singing, dancing, and theatrical performances are held on a grand scale.
