Oguri Kozukenosuke
[1827-1868] A shogunate official in the late Edo period. A native of Edo. His name was Loyalty Tadamasa He served as the magistrate of foreign affairs, the magistrate of warships, and the magistrate of finances. He attempted to strengthen the power of the shogun with the assistance of France, but was beheaded by the government forces after losing the Battle of Toba-Fushimi.
