Okudake - Okudake

…It refers to the central mountainous region of Yakushima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture. It straddles Yakucho and Kamiyakucho in Kumage County, and is home to a number of high peaks, including the highest peak in Kyushu, Miyanouradake (1,935m), Nagatadake (1,886m), Kuromidake (1,831m), Nageshidake (1,830m), and Onnadake (1,826m). The first three are also called Okudake or Mitake, but the others are all called Yaedake. It is also known as the "Ocean Alps." …
