Ogawa Ueharu

The word "garden" is a new one, and originally garden and garden had different meanings. "Niwa" meant a place for work or events, and indicated flat land. In ancient times, it was also a place for religious ceremonies and government affairs, but even today the word "niwa" is used to refer to the square in front of a roof, farm work areas in front of a roof or indoors, and open spaces around a house.
