Ogawa

...Population: 7,322 (1995). Located in the southwestern part of the Osumi Peninsula facing Kagoshima Bay, it occupies the alluvial lowlands of the Ogawa River basin and its surrounding areas. The main settlement is Kawakita at the mouth of the Ogawa River, and ferries run from the nearby Nejime Port to Yamakawa Port on the Satsuma Peninsula on the opposite bank.
