Born on November 6, 1860. He worked as an elementary school teacher and moved to Tokyo where he met Fukuda Eiko, Tomatsu Masayasu and others. He participated in Oi Kentaro's plan for Korean independence from China, and was arrested in connection with the Osaka Incident in 1885, receiving a six-year prison sentence.
