A road that runs from Noshiro City, Akita Prefecture along the Sea of Japan to Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. It has been an important road connecting the territories of the Akita and Tsugaru domains since the Edo period. It is part of National Route 101 (Noshiro City - Aomori City).
