...Ryonin built Raigo-in Temple in Ohara, Kyoto in 1109 (Tennin 2), and the center of Tendai shomyo moved to Ohara thereafter. The lineage of Enchin, who entered China in 853 (Jinju 3), left Enryaku-ji Temple and became independent, centering on Onjo-ji Temple, but shomyo also developed independently, and the Jimon-ryu shomyo tradition was created in contrast to the Ohara-ryu shomyo centered in Ohara.
