The Imperial Palace was located in Otsu, Omi Province (Shiga Prefecture) for five years from the sixth year of Emperor Tenchi ( 667 ). It was abolished during the Jinshin War. Remains believed to be the remains of the palace have been discovered in the Nishikori district of Otsu City. It is believed that no capital with a well-organized grid system ever existed, but since the Meiji period, it has been commonly referred to as Otsu-kyo. Omi-Otsu Palace. The capital of Shiga. 天智天皇六年(六六七)から五年間、近江国(滋賀県)大津に置かれた皇居。壬申の乱で廃絶。大津市錦織地区で宮跡と推定される遺構が発見されている。条坊の整った京は存在しなかったと思われるが、明治以後、大津京とも俗称されている。近江大津宮。滋賀の都。
