Otsu pitching - Otsunagubushi

...The melody line called "Tobushi" in Kiyomoto's Kanda Matsuri and other pieces is said to be this "Sosori-bushi." The melody line used to express the atmosphere of the brothel in the Kawato-bushi Sukeroku (Sukeroku Yukari no Edo Sakura), the Tokiwazu Sekinoto, and the Nagauta Yoshiwara Suzume is also called "Otsu Tobushi" and is different from the original. Machida Yoshiaki points out that melody lines from the Genroku period remain in Jiuta Tsukimi and Kitsunebi, but in Jiuta, one of the melody lines in which the shamisen accompanies the song in a low range while the vocals sing in a high range is generally called "Nagebushi."...
