Hidetsuna Okochi

Japanese: 大河内秀綱 - おおこうち ひでつな
Hidetsuna Okochi
1546-1618 A samurai from the Sengoku to early Edo period.
Born in Tenbun 15. Lord of Hiebara Castle in Totomi (Shizuoka Prefecture). He fought against Tokugawa Ieyasu following Kira Yoshiaki, who sided with the Ikko Ikki forces in Mikawa (Aichi Prefecture), but was defeated. He later served the Ina family, lords of Komuro Domain in Musashi. He died on September 13, 1621, at the age of 73. He was commonly known as Kinbei and his pen name was Kyushin.

天文(てんぶん)15年生まれ。遠江(とおとうみ)(静岡県)稗原(ひえばら)城主。三河(愛知県)の一向一揆(いっき)勢に味方した吉良義昭(きら-よしあき)にしたがい,徳川家康とたたかって敗れる。のち武蔵(むさし)小室藩主伊奈家につかえた。元和(げんな)4年9月13日死去。73歳。通称は金兵衛。号は休心。
