Okuma - Okuma
This is the former area of ​​the western part of Kama City in central Fukuoka Prefecture. It was incorporated as a town in 1892. In 1955, it merged with Senju Village, Ashijiro Village, and Miyano Village to form Kaho Town, and in 2006 it merged with Yamada City, Inatsuki Town, and Usui Town to form Kama City. It is located at the intersection of the Akizuki Kaido and Hita Kaido roads, which connect the Kaho Basin and Hita Basin, the Chikushi Plain, and Kitakyushu, and developed as a post town and market town. It is home to the ruins of Masutomi Castle, where Goto Mototsugu lived, and the grave of Mori Tabei.
