Ookunitama Okami - Ookunitama Okami

The main deity is Okunitama-no-Okami, and the shrine enshrines Musashi-no-Kuni no Okami and Mitama-no-Okami on either side of the main hall, Ono-no-Okami, Ogawa-no-Okami, and Hikawa-no-Okami on the east hall, and Chichibu-no-Okami, Kanasana-no-Okami, and Sugiyama-no-Okami on the west hall. The main deity is Musashi-no-Kuni-tama, that is, the spirit of the Musashi region, and was worshiped by the kuni-no-miyatsuko in ancient times, and then by the kokushi under the Ritsuryo system. In the late ancient period, various shrines in the country were enshrined and enshrined at the main shrine near the provincial capital, and so it was also called Musashi-no-Kuni Sosha, or Rokusho-gu, due to the number of deities in the east and west halls. ...
