The name of a performance that is added independently after the final act of a show. It can also be written as Taisetsu. It originally started in late Edo Kabuki, where an act that was unrelated to the previous plot was added to end the day's plays on a bright note. It has come to refer to a large group of people performing unusual arts after the last performer (tori) has finished at a vaudeville theater, and the latter is more common today.
