A prince who was appointed Seii Taishogun by the Kamakura Shogunate. Also called Imperial Shogun or Miya Shogun. In 1252, the Sekke Shogun system was abolished, and Prince Munetaka, the son of the retired Emperor Gosaga, was appointed Seii Taishogun. After that, Prince Munetaka's son Prince Koreyasu (later Prince), Prince Hisaakira, the son of the retired Emperor Gofukakusa, and his son Prince Morikuni continued to hold the position until the fall of the Kamakura Shogunate. The real power of the Shogun was further weakened by the emergence of the Prince Shoguns, and the Hojo Tokuso family wielded power. In addition, Prince Moriyoshi and Prince Nariyoshi, the sons of Emperor Go-Daigo, who were appointed Seii Taishogun under the Kenmu New Government, can also be included in the Prince Shoguns.
