In 1189 (Bun'ei 5), Yorihira's eldest son, Sukeyori, was appointed land steward of Oizumisho in Dewa Province, which was under the jurisdiction of the Chokodo Domain. His second son, Ujihira, then inherited the position, and the Oizumi clan, vassals of Dewa Province, took Oizumisho as their family name. During the Nanboku-cho period, Oizumi Nagamori built a castle at Daihoji (Daibonji, Daibonji, Daihoji) in Oizumisho, and took the name Daihoji.
